I know there are still many of us fans saying to ourselves that,
"we're not going to let our guard down. We will not be hurt again!" If
you're like me, whenever I am scanning games on Sundays (Rams being the
standard vs. DirecTV Games Mix Channel) I find myself being guarded
with going all in with the this anomaly we're seeing on the field for
the St. Louis Rams.
Surely this is a fluke or accident, right?! The Rams have already beaten last year's total on the WIN column from last season? Are you telling me that
we are actually giving OC's the blues? Teams are concerned about
taking it to the air with the St. Louis Rams? Really?
I'll admit it, I lost my mind when we beat the Redskins! Not just
because we proved that we WILL NOT GIVE UP HOMEFIELD easily! Not even
just because we out-coached them. I lost it because we were fighting
the entire game! We did not back down and we kept heat from alpha to
omega! The Rams were playing like a 'real' team in that game.
Then there was 'da Bears'. I know it sounds like a cliche, but we
really did beat ourselves with that one. Rams were hanging on the
entire first 2.5 quarters, then...well...let's just say that someone who
will remain nameless in this post gave a couple of pick 6's. Hard to
rebound from 14 points when you haven't completely gelled yet as an
offense.
Since then we've had some sincere frustrations on the offensive side of the ball with a few glimmers of hope in players like Daryl Richardson, Chris Givens, Janoris Jenkins and as always, the powerhouse which is Steven Jackson! The Rams are relevant again and I am thankful to be living during the resurgence. Now go to Buffalo and show 'em what Rams do!
